"Toilet Museum" opens at INAX MUSEUMS
17 April 2025

In celebration of the 80th anniversary of INAX's toilet business, a new facility, the "Toilet Museum," has opened at the INAX MUSEUMS in Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture.

Sharing Japan's Unique Toilet Culture with the World The museum explores the evolution of the toilet through the themes of Cleanliness and Thoughtfulness—values long cherished in Japanese culture. Visitors can experience Japan's distinctive hygiene rituals through a remarkable collection, ranging from restored Edo-period wooden toilets to world-leading modern SHOWER TOILETs.
Architecture Blending Tradition with Environmental Innovation The building’s exterior features the traditional Yoroikabe (weatherboard) style, symbolic of Tokoname’s historic streetscapes. Reflecting a commitment to a sustainable future, the interior incorporates eco-friendly materials made from recycled FRP and tile waste, embodying the "origins of craftsmanship."
INAX remains committed to refining Japanese spirit and technology, delivering the value of a comfortable lifestyle to people around the world.
